What happened

Britax is recalling certain convertible child car seats (Boulevard 70 G3, Advocate 70 G3, and Pavilion 70 G3 models) manufactured between June and August 2012. The seats have softer chest pads that a child could bite or chew into pieces, which poses a choking hazard that could result in injury or death.

Britax will provide owners with replacement chest pads made from a firmer material and replacement instructions at no charge. Owners can remove the pads and continue using the seat until replacements arrive. To request replacement pads or for questions, affected consumers should contact Britax Customer Service at 1-888-427-4829. Instructions and a video on how to replace the pads are available at www.BritaxUSA.com/support/safety-notices.
