Kingmor Supply, Inc. is recalling certain model year 2001 through 2012 IC RE, FE, and CE school buses equipped with Carrier GENV EM-1 evaporator units manufactured between January 1, 2006 and December 2010. These units contain a Delphi Pack-Con III fuse holder that may loosen due to time, temperature, and vibration, creating high resistance and arcing that could cause the fuse holder to melt and potentially result in flame, smoke, and fire.
Kingmor will notify owners and provide information on how to obtain a retrofit kit from Carrier, along with repair instructions. The service will be performed free of charge. Affected consumers should contact Carrier at 1-800-793-4741 or Kingmor at 1-540-433-0073 for more information about the recall.
