2010 SRTC TRAILER; 2011 SRTC TRAILER
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Snake River Trailer Company is recalling certain model year 2010 and 2011 SRTC livestock trailers manufactured between May 26, 2010, and February 24, 2011, that are equipped with an automatically latching rear gate. These trailers have a gate latch release handle located on the outside that is meant to be reached through a window from inside the trailer if the gate becomes closed. However, due to factors such as arm length, some users may not be able to reach the outside handle once trapped inside the trailer, creating a risk of personal injury.
To address this hazard, Snake River will contact affected owners, and dealers will install a handle that is accessible from inside the trailer. The safety recall began on September 23, 2011. Owners of affected trailers may contact Snake River at 1-208-455-2768.
