Chrysler is recalling certain 2008 Chrysler Grand Voyager, Town and Country, and Dodge Grand Caravan vehicles manufactured between June 24, 2007, and July 30, 2008. These vehicles may have a heating and air conditioning condensate leak from the HVAC drain grommet that can drip onto the occupant restraint control module, potentially causing the airbag warning light to illuminate and triggering an inadvertent airbag deployment without warning, which could injure the seat occupant and cause a vehicle crash.
To remedy this issue, dealers will replace the affected airbag module at no charge. The recall began on October 14, 2011. According to the record, owners should contact Chrysler at 1-800-853-1403.
