2011 CHEVROLET COLORADO; 2011 GMC CANYON
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
General Motors is recalling certain 2011 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon vehicles manufactured between September 22, 2010, and November 5, 2010. The windshield wiper motor crank arm nut may not be tightened to specification, and could loosen when wipers are used with snow or ice buildup or on a dry windshield. If the nut loosens sufficiently, the wipers could stop working, reducing driver visibility and increasing crash risk.
Dealers will secure the wiper motor crank arm nut for free as part of the safety recall, which was expected to begin on or before May 11, 2011. Affected owners can contact Chevrolet at 1-800-630-2438, GMC at 1-866-996-9463, or visit www.gmownercenter.com.
