2011 BLUE BIRD ALL AMERICAN
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Blue Bird Body Company is recalling certain 2011 All American D3 model school buses manufactured between April 23, 2010, and September 11, 2010, that were built with 20 gauge outside side panels. The side panel joint adhesive that should have been applied during production may not have been used on these buses, which means the joints may not be strong enough and could fail to meet federal safety standards for school bus body joint strength.
In a crash, the loose or weakened side panels could separate and increase the risk of injury to passengers. Blue Bird will notify owners and dealers and add additional rivets to the affected buses at no charge. The recall began on January 26, 2011. Owners of affected buses should contact Blue Bird at 1-478-822-2242.
