Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Daimler Trucks North America is recalling certain model year 2004 through 2010 Minotour non-school buses built on Ford chassis manufactured between May 6, 2004 and February 2, 2010. The main body power cables on these vehicles were routed near an unprotected sharp edge on the passenger's side inner-fender. Under certain conditions, a power cable may contact this sharp edge, and if the contact continues undetected, it could wear through the cable's insulation and potentially cause a short circuit, creating a risk of vehicle fire and injury to occupants.
Daimler Trucks will inspect the affected vehicles and reroute and/or replace the power cables as needed at no charge to owners. The recall service is expected to begin on or before November 15, 2010. Owners of affected vehicles should contact Daimler Trucks toll-free at 1-800-547-0712.
