Fireworks
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Cobra brand fireworks (models Cobra 44 Model 1, Cobra 44 Model 2, Cobra 44 Model 3, and Cobra 55) sold under the name Sicherheitsböller are being recalled due to a manufacturing defect. The materials used in these products were applied in inconsistent quantities and degrees of compaction, creating a risk that the fireworks could ignite easily and unpredictably or detonate without warning when subjected to mechanical shock. The products do not meet the safety requirements of the Pyrotechnics Directive.
The recalled Cobra fireworks include red bangers with blue markings in various sizes: Model 1 measures 130 mm in length with a 22-gram explosive mass (sold in packages of 3), and Model 2 measures 160 mm in length with a 35-gram explosive mass (sold in packages of 2). The product was ordered withdrawn from the market effective November 28, 2014. The recall was initiated by Austria. The source does not specify what consumers should do with recalled products.
