Three pairs of earrings and one pair of hanging earrings sold under the brand name Alina have been recalled due to a chemical safety hazard. The earrings contain 18% cadmium, which far exceeds the regulatory limit of 0.01%, and therefore do not comply with the REACH Regulation. The affected products include small metallic earrings with diamond-like stones (6mm diameter, model ER9616), medium-sized earrings with black pearl-like stones (8mm diameter, model ER9753), larger metallic earrings with a diamond-like stone in the center (12mm diameter), and oval-shaped hanging earrings.
