These decorative spirit rings contain metal with dangerously high levels of cadmium, between 33-36%, far exceeding the safe limit of 0.01%. The affected products are four styles: a round ring with black jewel and diamond circle (item SPJ32082), a party ring with brown jewels (SPJ32071), a turquoise ring with turquoise jewels and diamonds (SPJ32073), and an Oriental ring (SPJ32080). All come attached to black plastic tags and were reported by Finland.
The rings do not comply with REACH Regulation, which governs chemical safety in consumer products. The recall notice does not specify what remedy is available to consumers who have purchased these products.
