Three plastic activity toys manufactured by Perez y Rincón have been recalled due to safety hazards. The recalled products are a multi-coloured toy train with two carriages, lights, sound and figurines (Ref. 788); a multi-coloured educational lorry with lights and sound (Ref. 1234); and a multi-coloured educational van with lights, sounds and letter puzzle pieces that functions as a pull-along toy (Ref. 1239). The train and lorry pose a choking risk because they can generate small parts including letters, plastic pieces and wheels that can be placed in a child's mouth and potentially block the airway. The van additionally poses a strangulation risk because its cord exceeds the maximum permitted length for pull-along toys.
The products do not comply with the Toys Safety Directive or the relevant European standard EN 71-1. The recall was reported by Spain. The source document does not specify what remedy is available to consumers who possess these products.
