CAN GO children's sweaters with model numbers KGSS-225-68, KGSS-225-74, KGSS-225-80, KGSS-225-86, KGSS-225-92, and KGSS-225-98 (sold under the name CAN GO FAIRY 225) have been recalled due to a strangulation hazard. The yellow knitted sweaters feature hoods with functional cords approximately 14 centimeters long that have free ends, which can become trapped during children's activities and pose a risk of strangulation. The product does not meet safety requirements under the General Product Safety Directive and European standard EN 14682.
The importer has initiated a withdrawal of the product from the market as of November 23, 2021. The sweaters were sold online and are characterized by elastic edging on the lower edges and sleeves, along with three thermal butterfly applications on the front.
