Volvo is recalling certain passenger cars including the S60, V60, V60cc, S90, V90, V90CC, S90L, XC40, XC60, and XC90 models because software in the Active Safety Domain Master (ASDM) may be incomplete. This incomplete software could prevent the vehicle from detecting oncoming obstacles, which means the Automatic Emergency Brake System (AEB) might not engage when needed, increasing the risk of a crash.
The recall was ordered to distributors on March 9, 2020. The source does not specify what remedy an affected consumer should pursue.
