Dacia is recalling certain Sandero II, Logan II MCV, and Duster vehicles equipped with 1.5-litre dCi diesel engines manufactured in Tangier or Pitesti. These vehicles have a defect where the ignition key may become stuck in the starting position, potentially damaging the vehicle's starter motor. This could prevent the vehicle from starting or cause the starter material to burn.
The manufacturer is conducting a recall of affected vehicles from end users, effective November 30, 2020. The record does not specify what remedy an affected consumer should pursue.
