Surya Brasil Henna Cream hair colouring product is being recalled because it contains N-Nitrosodiethanolamine (NDELA), a substance classified as a human carcinogen, at levels up to 621 µg/kg. The affected product is a 70 ml dark brown plastic bottle with a screw top and integrated application nozzle, sold in a red printed cardboard box with gloves and hood. Nine color varieties are affected: Golden Blonde, Burgundy, Light Brown, Black, Ash Blonde, Light Blonde, Chocolate, Golden Brown, and Dark Brown.
