King brand plastic gas disposable lighters imported from China have been recalled due to safety defects. These torch-style lighters, approximately 16 cm long and available in various colors, do not meet European safety standards. They lack a safety mechanism and fail multiple safety requirements, including insufficient resistance to continuous burning, free falling, and cyclic burning. The lighters also do not meet required standards for flame height control, flame extinguishing capability, and resistance to dispersion and light testing.
The products were ordered to be withdrawn from the market and recalled from consumers. If you have purchased one of these lighters with barcode 6921747362968, 6943082910055, or 69217473629, you should not use it. They have no safety mechanism. There is a button which produces the flame but there are either no inscriptions or different inscriptions on the plastic part of the lighter (e.g.: "Bulgaria", "Obzor"). There is a label with additional information about the country of origin – China, the inscriptions: King lighter and instructions for use. The products are sold without packaging.
