Specifically, the blue plastic contains 5.9% di-n-octyl phthalate (DNOP) by weight, the yellow plastic contains 7.2% DNOP by weight, and the valve contains 0.16% DNOP and 1.0% bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) by weight. These phthalates are prohibited in toys under the Chemical Restrictions Directive 76/769/EEC.
