What happened

DOKOCOM batteries used in certain portable DVD players pose a fire risk due to battery combustion. Three incidents have been reported involving these batteries. The affected products are Grandin DVD player model PX206 (reference 139032) and Saba DVD player model 708X (reference 150301), both equipped with the DK-YH-102 battery. Grandin players delivered between October 5, 2007 and November 5, 2007 are specifically affected, though the recall was extended to include earlier Grandin deliveries starting August 9, 2007 and all Saba models delivered from that same date forward, as they contain the same battery.

Portable DVD players (black and white). Grandin DVD players delivered between 5 October 2007 and 5 November 2007, in which the area around the battery caught fire. The notification was extended to cover Grandin DVD players from the previous delivery (9 August 2007) and to Saba DVD players delivered since this date, as they are equipped with the same battery as the Grandin players.
