The Sparkle & Shimmer Christmas tree tea light holder, a metal product with hanging baubles in gold, silver, red, or brown (model numbers 75-0811, 75S0811, 75R0811, or 75B0811, barcode 5023313897094), poses a fire risk because the tea lights can ignite the baubles, which are highly flammable. Testing showed the baubles caught fire in as little as 5 seconds (red baubles) and burned rapidly with flame heights reaching 110 mm. The product also exceeded safe surface temperature limits, with surfaces reaching 80°C instead of the maximum allowed 65°C. Three incidents have been reported.
The importer has voluntarily withdrawn the product from the market. The recall source does not specify what affected consumers should do with units they may already own.

The product poses a risk of fire because:- the tea lights can set light to the baubles when the Christmas tree is in use,- the baubles are highly flammable,- the maximum temperature of the surface likely to be touched is 80°C, with the maximum limit being 65°C,- some of the baubles may melt and others may become discoloured.
