Children's denim trousers in size 2 sold under the PEPERONCINO brand have been recalled due to a choking hazard. The trousers are designed for children under 36 months and feature decorative metallic adornments, including beads and spangles on the pockets and legs. During testing, small parts including the sewed beads and spangles detached from the garment, and these detached pieces are small enough to fit into a small parts cylinder, creating a serious choking risk for young children.
Authorities have ordered a sales ban, market withdrawal, and consumer recall of this product. The recalled trousers are marked with "W-54" on the paper label and are size 2, intended for two-year-old children. The recall was initiated by Slovak authorities.
