Four wooden toy puzzles are being recalled due to safety hazards. The first three puzzles (farmyard, drinks, and aquatic animals models) release formaldehyde at levels exceeding safe limits—180 mg/kg, 230 mg/kg, and 205 mg/kg respectively, when the maximum allowed is 80 mg/kg. The fourth puzzle (clown model) poses two hazards: it also releases formaldehyde at 230 mg/kg, exceeding the limit, and its puzzle pieces fit completely into a small parts cylinder, creating a choking risk for young children despite being marked "Not suitable for children under 3 years."
All four puzzles are rectangular or round wooden toys made from 8mm plywood with plastic grips screwed into the pieces, sold in transparent plastic film packaging with warning labels on the back. The affected products have the following model names and product codes: farmyard (EAN 8714522236701), drinks (EAN 8714522236008), aquatic animals (EAN 8714522367254), and clown (EAN 8714522236510). The distributor is conducting a voluntary withdrawal from the market and recall from consumers; however, the record does not specify what action affected consumers should take.

The products pose, respectively:1. a chemical risk because the puzzle releases 180 mg/kg of formaldehyde which exceeds the maximum limit of 80 mg/kg;2. a chemical risk because the puzzle releases 230 mg/kg of formaldehyde which exceeds the maximum limit of 80 mg/kg;3. a chemical risk because the puzzle releases 205 mg/kg of formaldehyde which exceeds the maximum limit of 80 mg/kg;4. - a chemical risk because the puzzle releases 230 mg/kg of formaldehyde which exceeds the maximum limit of 80 mg/kg,- a risk of choking because each of the puzzle's pieces fits completely into the small parts test cylinder, children may put into their mouth and they may choke. These toys are all marked "Not suitable for children under 3 years" although it is clearly intended for younger children. These products do not comply with the Toys Directive and the relevant European standards EN 71-1 and EN 71-9.

Small plastic grips are screwed into these pieces. The toy is placed on the market in a transparent plastic film. On the back there is a sticker with a warning in three languages stating "Not suitable for children under 3 years". 4. The product is a round toy clock made from 8 mm-thick plywood and with a diameter of 20 cm. Puzzle pieces showing numbers are arranged around the clock's hands. Small plastic grips are screwed into these pieces.The toy is placed on the market in a transparent plastic film. On the back there is a sticker with a warning in three languages stating "Caution! Not suitable for children under 3 years because of small parts which may be swallowed. Keep address and instructions".
