A Straus Austria impact drill model ST/ID13-320 with a blue plastic cover and black rubber grip has been recalled due to serious safety defects. The drill poses risks of electric shock because basic insulated wires can contact moving metal parts, insulation tubes are not properly fixed, insulation was damaged during testing, and electrical failure occurred during strength testing. The product also caught fire during thermal testing and presents injury risks because the Hungarian-language instructions do not meet safety requirements. The drill does not comply with the Machinery Directive or European standard EN 60745.
