Novelty lighter
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
MERE brand novelty lighters, which resemble pens and include a refillable nozzle and built-in LED torch, have been recalled due to fire and burn hazards. The lighters are particularly attractive to children under 51 months old because of their unusual pen-like appearance, and they do not comply with the European safety standard EN 13869. The lighters are marked "MADE IN CHINA" and carry warnings to keep them away from children, but these warnings are insufficient to address the design hazard.
The authorities have ordered the lighters withdrawn from the market and recalled from consumers. The source does not specify what action affected consumers should take in response to this recall.
