Wolverine is recalling certain children's Caterpillar® brand shoes because the black plastic tab at the end of the shoelaces can come unstuck from the laces and potentially pose a choking risk to very young children. The recall affects US shoe sizes 7–12 (European sizes 23–29) in three styles: Equate, Kudos, and Sheltered. Consumers can identify affected shoes by checking the stock number on a label inside the tongue of the shoe; only shoes with specific stock numbers are affected (Equate: 200756, 200757, 200758; Kudos: 200735, 200736, 200737, 200777, 200778; Sheltered: 200912, 200913, 200914).

Only children’s US shoe sizes 7-12 are affected by the potential safety issue (equivalent European sizes 23 – 29).The affected models of shoes come in a range of colours. A label carrying the stock number can be found on the inside tongue of the shoes. Notices to consumers will incorporate the photographs and instruct them to check the brand and the stock number to see if they have an affected product. Model: Children’s Caterpillar® styles Equate, Kudos and Sheltered. Only shoes carrying one of the following stock numbers are affected:- Equate: 200756, 200757 and 200758, - Kudos: 200735, 200736, 200737, 200777 and 200778,- Sheltered: 200912, 200913 and 200914.
