IKEA is recalling its Barnslig baby sleeping bags due to a choking hazard. The bottom zipper stop can detach during use, and both the detached zipper stop and the zipper slider are small parts that pose a choking risk to babies and young children. Two incidents have been reported. The recall affects sleeping bags in two sizes—for ages 0-6 months (available in light turquoise and pink) and ages 6-18 months (available in red or blue)—with production date stamps from 0745 through 0824. Affected consumers can identify recalled products by locating the IKEA logo, "BARNSLIG" name, date stamp, and supplier number #17596 on the label inside the sleeping bag.
The recalled article numbers are 301.334.09, 701.300.79, 901.300.78, and 401.334.04 in most markets, and 601.470.56, 401.470.57, 201.470.58, and 001.470.59 in Australia.
