High chair

Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.

What happened

IKEA has recalled certain high chairs due to a defect in the crotch restraint that prevents it from fitting tightly between the seat and horizontal restraint components. This restraint is designed to prevent children from slipping out of the chair, and the improper fit means it cannot perform this critical safety function. The company received at least one complaint indicating the crotch restraint was not firmly attached and could detach completely. The affected product does not meet European safety standard EN 14988.

The recall involves beech wood high chairs (Model #400.510.21) with antique stain finish. The affected units can be identified by an adhesive label on the bottom of the seat showing a date stamp between 0801 and 0808 and supplier number #13755. IKEA has initiated voluntary corrective action to address the hazard, though the specific record does not detail what consumers should do to obtain a remedy.
