Expanding toys - Grow toys
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
The recalled VISION® expanding toys are small water-activated toys shaped like a black whale, lilac shark, or dark green dolphin that expand to over 600% of their original size when placed in water. These toys pose a choking hazard and risk of internal injury because the small parts can fit entirely into a small parts cylinder, and if swallowed, they will expand in contact with saliva or gastric juices, potentially causing asphyxia or gastrointestinal injuries.
Authorities have ordered a sales ban, market withdrawal, and consumer recall of these products. The record does not specify what remedy or action affected consumers should take in response to this recall.
Written by software from the official notice below. Not reviewed by a lawyer.
The products pose a risk of choking and injuries because parts of the toy, which fit entirely into the small parts cylinder, can grow in size by more than 50% after being placed in water. If a child swallows parts of this toy, contact with the saliva or gastric juices will cause the toy to grow in size, which may cause asphyxia or gastrointestinal injuries.
