Fancy dress - "Robin Hood" costume for children

  • Brand ATOSA

Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.

What happened

This Robin Hood costume for children aged 2 to 4, distributed by ATOSA and made in China, poses three serious safety hazards. The cap's fabric spreads flame at a rate of 17.5 mm/s, exceeding the permitted maximum of 10 mm/s and creating a burn risk. Small parts including foam pieces from inside the cap, pieces of the imitation leather belt, the red feather, and rivets from the shirt can easily detach and pose a choking hazard. Additionally, the plastic packaging bag has a thickness of 0.035+/-0.005 mm with an opening perimeter greater than 380 mm, creating a suffocation risk. The costume does not comply with the Toys Directive and European standard EN 71-1.

Authorities have ordered the product withdrawn from the market. The record does not specify what remedy is available to consumers who have already purchased the costume.
