What happened

Specialized is recalling HL handlebars on certain 2009 bicycle models, including the Cross Trail Comp, Myka HT Comp, Myka HT Elite, Rockhopper, Rockhopper Comp, and Rockhopper Comp 29. The handlebars, identified by model number ALR-13 NTFOV (located underneath the right hand grip), can break and cause the rider to fall. Two incidents have been reported. These bicycles were sold between June 2008 and February 2009.
