AUTOMAX brand booster cables (model Art. N°4410, EAN 8586009104410, 200AMP, 175 cm length) have been recalled due to a fire hazard. The cables do not meet required safety standards because the actual cable diameter and electrical resistance measurements significantly exceed safe limits, which can cause overheating and fire during use.
The recalled product is sold in plastic bags labeled "BOOSTER CABLE" and "AUTOMAX CAR ACCESSORIES" with the manufacturer address in Slovakia. The cables are black for positive connections and red for negative connections, marked as 200 amp with 12/24 V voltage rating. The product poses a risk of fire because:- the maximum external diameter of cable for the indicated diameter of nucleus of 0.5 mm should be 2.3 mm, whereas the real measured diameter is 7.3 mm, - resistance of nucleus should be maximum 37.1 mΩ,/m whereas the real measured value is 47.8 mΩ,/m. The product does not comply with the relevant standard ISO 6722.

The starter cable for connecting the positive poles of the accumulator is black; the starting cable for connecting negative poles of the accumulator is red. The product is packed in a plastic bag with marking "BOOSTER CABLE," "AUTOMAX CAR ACCESSORIES", EAN code, Art. Nr. and address of the company "best AUTOMAX" in Slovakia.
