A complexion cream with allantoin sold in a white box featuring a photograph of a woman has been recalled because it contains more than 2% hydroquinone. The frequent and long-term use of hydroquinone at this concentration presents a health risk, and the product does not comply with the Cosmetic Directive 76/768/EEC. The white tube inside the box contains text in black and blue and displays a photograph of the same woman. Older boxes lack lot numbers, manufacturing dates, and expiry dates, while newer boxes from 2007 onward include this information.
