The Wonderful Style baby phone (model 6213, HS56978/79) is being recalled due to two safety hazards. The toy emits sound at 99 decibels when buttons are pressed, exceeding the 80-decibel limit for toys held close to the ear, which poses a risk of hearing damage. Additionally, small parts of the toy can easily detach and fit entirely into a small parts test cylinder, creating a choking hazard. The dark yellow plastic toy features a cartoon dog design with five colored buttons and operates on two AA batteries.
The importer has voluntarily withdrawn the product from the market and initiated a consumer recall. The toy fails to comply with the European Toys Directive and the EN 71 standard. A toy mobile phone with a picture of a cartoon dog and the inscription “Hello”. The toy is made of dark yellow plastic, with five buttons coloured green, dark blue, light yellow and orange. The toy is powered by 2 AA batteries. Pressing any button causes sound and light emission. On the sticker and the packaging there are warnings and information concerning the product in Polish: the name and address of the importer, “CE mark”, “Made in China”, number of product and EAN, pictogram concerning the age 0-3 restriction and the warning “Choking hazard due to small parts".
