Thermos flasks and thermal jugs
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
Wonderful Life brand thermos flasks and thermal jugs are being recalled because they contain asbestos fibers that pose a serious cancer risk if inhaled. The asbestos is present in small cylindrical spacer pieces (approximately 10 mm in diameter and 3 mm long) made of compressed chrysotile asbestos material, positioned between the double glass casings of the products. If the casing breaks and these asbestos lozenges are handled, carcinogenic fibers could be released. The product violates the Chemicals Restrictions Directive 76/769/EEC.
The affected products include nine thermos flask models and four thermal jug models identified by specific article numbers. The recall was initiated by authorities in Italy, and a market withdrawal has been ordered. The record does not specify what consumers who own these products should do in response to the recall.
