What happened

Honda is recalling certain CBF600 motorcycle models from 2008 (including CBF600N08, CBF600NA08, CBF600S08, and CBF600SA08 variants) produced by Honda Italia Industriale. The motorcycles are affected due to a speedometer malfunction risk caused by water entering the wiring and accumulating in the U-shaped protection tube for the ground wire, which can trigger a short circuit in the vehicle speed sensor terminal and cause the speedometer to fail, potentially resulting in injury to riders.

Hazard
