Lighting chains
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
REALM lighting chains with model numbers RIC-1402 (also labeled GSH-140IC-2) and GSH-100IC-2 have been recalled due to safety defects. These products contain 140 or 100 miniature lamps in orange, green, red, and blue connected to a flashing unit and two-core mains supply cable. The products pose risks of electric shock and fire because the soldered wires inside the flashing unit are not properly secured, there is inadequate protection against twisting and pulling, and the flashing unit's insulation is insufficient, which can cause flashover and ignition. The products do not meet European safety standards for low voltage electrical equipment.
Authorities have ordered withdrawal from the market and recall from consumers. The source does not specify what affected consumers should do to return or dispose of the recalled products.
