Magnetic toys - Magtastik and Magnetix JR Magnetic Building Sets
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
MEGA Brands has voluntarily recalled Magtastik and Magnetix JR Magnetic Building Sets due to detachable magnets found in small flexible parts of animals, vehicles, and building sets. The magnets pose a choking hazard and risk of serious injury if swallowed or aspirated by young children. If multiple magnets are swallowed, they can attract each other inside the body and cause intestinal perforations or blockages, which can be fatal. Two accidents have been reported in the United States.
The recall affects numerous products including various Magtastik sets (Starter Set, Deluxe Set, Fun Pack, and others), Magnimals animal sets, and related magnetic building items marketed for ages 3 and up, despite packaging warnings about choking hazards for children under 3. The record does not specify what remedy an affected consumer should pursue.
