Volkswagen has recalled approximately 4,885 Jetta and Golf Variant vehicles sold in Spain that were manufactured between January 8, 2007 and January 9, 2008. These vehicles have a defect in the additional air heater's earth connection where transition resistance may be unacceptably high, potentially causing overheating and damage to the cable connection area, which could result in a vehicle fire.
