Funky Thing Sparkling Girlz dolls, which are 10.5 inch tall plastic dolls available in three different appearances (blonde with pink dress, blonde with pink top and light blue skirt, or red-haired with dark pink or purple top and lavender skirt), have been recalled due to a chemical hazard. The dolls' feet contain 8.8% by weight of di-2-ethyl-hexylphthalate (DEHP), a phthalate that exceeds the permitted limit of 0.1% by weight under the Chemical Restriction Directive 76/769/EEC. The dolls are marked for children ages 3 and up and are packaged in pink triangular cartons labeled "10.5 inch Fully Poseable Doll" (Model Article N° 6570600).
