Table lamps - 2 cylindrical table lamps "Present Light"

  • Brand Kitten Dream

Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.

What happened

Two cylindrical table lamps sold under the brand name "Present Light" (model Present Light, GB7000.11-1999) with a Kitten Dream pattern pose an electric shock hazard due to multiple safety defects. The lamps lack proper cord anchorage, allowing the mains cable to be insufficiently protected against tension and twisting; the mains switch has no strain relief; the cable's cross-section measures less than 0.5 mm² instead of the required 0.75 mm², reducing mechanical strength; and bare wires with basic insulation are exposed where they enter the lamp housing. Additionally, the lamps are missing required safety markings such as manufacturer data, rated voltage, the Protection Class II symbol, and product identification information, and warnings are not provided in German. These lamps do not comply with the Low Voltage Directive or European standard EN 60598.

The authorities ordered withdrawal of these lamps from the market. The record does not specify what affected consumers should do with recalled products in their possession.
