Is my product affected?

High chair - Leopard

  • Brand Ikea

Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.

What happened

The IKEA Leopard high chair, sold at IKEA stores between October 1, 2009 and November 27, 2009, poses two safety hazards. The snap locks that secure the seat to the frame can break, causing the seat and child to drop through the frame and resulting in injuries. Additionally, these snap locks can be easily detached and swallowed, creating a choking hazard. The product does not comply with European toy safety standards.

The affected high chairs come in various colors, with frames in black or white and seats in transparent grey, red, black, or white. They can be identified by an adhesive label on the underside of the seat and tray marked "LEOPARD" and "Made in Italy," along with an eight-digit article number and five-digit supplier number (19589). The recall is a voluntary recall from consumers, though the source document does not specify what remedy an affected consumer should pursue.
