What happened

Telebrands is recalling several Hempväna pain relief products that contain lidocaine because their packaging does not meet child resistant packaging requirements under the Poison Prevention Packaging Act. The recalled products include Hempväna Ultra Strength Pain Relief Cream with Lidocaine, Ultra Strength Pain Relief Cream Night with Lidocaine, Ultra Strength Pain Relief Cream Turmeric with Lidocaine, and Pain Relieving Hand & Body Lotion with Lidocaine. These products are sold in 4-ounce jars with twist-off lids (available in green/red, green/purple, and green/orange label combinations) and an 8-ounce bottle with pump dispenser. The non-child resistant packaging poses a poisoning risk if young children swallow the contents or apply them to their skin.

According to the recall notice, consumers who have these products should immediately stop using them and store them safely out of sight and reach of children. Affected consumers should contact Telebrands for information on safe disposal options and to receive either a full refund or a free child resistant closure for the jar products. Telebrands is also offering a $15 digital coupon code toward future Hempväna product purchases at www.Hempvana.com.
