What happened

Serta is recalling certain Perfect Sleeper-branded mattresses because they fail to meet the federal flammability standard for mattresses, creating a fire hazard. The recalled mattresses are white single-sided models with navy blue side panels that were manufactured between July 15, 2021 and August 6, 2021. They were sold in twin, twin XL, full, queen, king, and California king sizes under specific model numbers, which can be identified by checking the white tag sewn into the head of the mattress for the manufacturing date, model number, and "Prototype ID: L1" marking.

Consumers who own a recalled mattress should immediately stop using it and contact Serta to confirm whether their mattress is included in the recall. If the mattress is recalled, Serta will provide a free replacement mattress along with free delivery and disposal of the recalled unit. The company is contacting all purchasers directly regarding this recall.

This recall involves Serta Perfect Sleeper-branded mattresses. The white single-sided mattresses have navy blue side panels and were sold in twin, twin XL, full, queen, king and California king sizes. They were manufactured from July 15, 2021 through August 6, 2021. The date of manufacture in DD/MM/YY, the model number and "Prototype ID: L1" can be found on a white tag sewn into the head of the mattress.
