What happened

Geri-Care Pharmaceuticals is recalling over-the-counter acetaminophen and aspirin products because their packaging does not meet child-resistant packaging requirements mandated by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act. The recalled products include Extra Strength Acetaminophen 500mg (1,000 tablets), Regular Strength Enteric Coated Aspirin 325mg (250 and 1,000 tablets), and Adult Low Dose Enteric Coated Aspirin 81mg (300 and 1,000 tablets). The non-child-resistant packaging poses a risk of poisoning if young children swallow the contents.
