What happened

Meridian Furniture is recalling Joy Velvet Ottoman/Stools sold on Wayfair under the name Fredson 14.5" Wide Velvet Round Standard Ottoman due to sharp edges on the metal band at the base that can cause lacerations. The recalled ottomans are velvet, approximately 17 inches high and 14 inches wide, encircled by either a gold or silver metal band, and were available in black, cream, green, gray, navy, and pink with gold bands, or in black, gray, and navy with silver bands.

Consumers who own a recalled ottoman should stop using it immediately and contact Meridian Furniture. The company will provide a prepaid mailing package and shipping label for return of the product for a full refund, or consumers can alternatively provide photographic evidence of the product's disposal or destruction to Meridian Furniture to receive a full refund.
