Scott Fetzer Consumer Brands is recalling all WAYNE WaterBUG GLOW model WWB Glow 1/6 HP Multi-Use Pump units with SKU number 57732-WYN1. These residential submersible water removal pumps have a glowing plug that indicates operation status (green when running, red when shut off) and include a black carrying strap. The pumps are affected by a defect where water can enter the electrical circuit board, creating fire, burn, and electrical shock hazards.
According to the recall, consumers should immediately stop using the affected pumps and contact Scott Fetzer Consumer Brands for a free replacement WaterBUG AUTO or standard WaterBUG pump.
