What happened

NZXT has recalled H1 computer cases due to a fire hazard. The recalled cases include model numbers CA-H16WR-W1 (matte white) and CA-H16WR-B1 (matte black) with specific serial number ranges. The hazard involves metal screws that attach the PCIe riser assembly to the chassis, which can short the printed circuit board and cause overheating due to the circuit board's design.

Consumers who own affected NZXT H1 cases should immediately stop using them and contact NZXT for a free repair kit. The recalled cases have a black tempered glass front with the NZXT brand name at the bottom; the model number and serial number can be found on the case's bottom.

The computer cases have a black tempered glass front with the NZXT brand name at the bottom. The model number and serial number are located on the bottom of the case.
