Rep Fitness is recalling Strap Safety brackets for PR-4000 and PR-5000 squat stands due to defective welds that can cause the brackets to detach from the weightlifting device if weight suddenly drops onto them. The recalled black brackets attach to the squat stand posts and can be identified by SKU numbers PRA-4120 (PR-4000) or PRA-5122 (PR-5000), which appear on the product packaging. This detachment poses an injury hazard to users.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled brackets and contact Rep Fitness for free replacement brackets. Rep Fitness is directly contacting all known purchasers. Consumers should keep the strap safeties and heavy-duty bolts, as only the brackets are being recalled.
