BRP has recalled nine model year 2021 Can-Am Outlander and Renegade all-terrain vehicles because a rear wheel can separate from the vehicle, which can cause loss of control and create a crash hazard. The affected models include Can-Am Outlander 450, Outlander 570, Outlander DPS 450, Outlander DPS 570, Outlander XMR 850, Outlander XMR 1000R, Outlander XT 570, Outlander XXC 1000R, and Renegade XMR 1000R. The vehicles were sold in various colors including red, tundra green, granite gray-octane blue, camo, and yellow.
Consumers who own one of these recalled vehicles should immediately stop using it and contact a BRP Can-Am ATV dealer for a free repair. BRP is contacting all known purchasers directly. The model name is printed on the side panels, and the vehicle identification number can be found on the frame under the seat in the middle and on the frame behind the right front wheel.
