STIHL BF-KM Mini-Cultivator attachments
Check against the official notice below — it lists the full affected range.
STIHL is recalling mini-cultivator attachments for its KombiMotor KM model powerheads due to a potential laceration hazard. The gearbox in some units was mistakenly installed upside down by STIHL dealers, which causes the tines to rotate backwards toward the operator instead of in the proper direction. The mini-cultivator attachment consists of four black discs with tines mounted to a gearbox and attached to a metal drive tube with a black deflector and is designed to break up loose soil.
According to the recall, affected consumers should immediately stop using the recalled mini-cultivator attachment and take it to an authorized STIHL servicing dealer. The dealer will perform a free inspection and free proper assembly of the attachment at no cost to the consumer.
