Prepac is recalling 4-drawer chests with plastic drawer glides in black, oak, and white finishes because the chests are unstable and can tip over if not anchored to the wall. This tip-over hazard can result in death or serious injuries to children. The recall applies to model numbers BEP-3031-4, BBD-3031-4, OBD-3031-4, and WHD-3031-4, which are 29-3/4 inches tall, 30 inches wide, and 16 inches deep. The model number can be found on the instruction manual.
If you own one of these chests, you should stop using it immediately if it is not properly anchored to the wall and keep it in an area where children cannot access it. Contact Prepac to receive a free tip-over restraint kit and request a free in-home installation of the wall anchor strap.
